I am a proud homeowner of a home built in 1920. Due to my home ownership I have become obsessed with homes of that era. My house is a very basic New England Colonial. There have been some minor changes, like, the porch has been closed in and turned into a bathroom and a small office sort of room.
The kitchen and both bathrooms have not been updated since the 1970's, therefore I am constantly gleaning the Internet, books, magazines etc. for ideas on how to update/restore the bathroom so it will look some what authentic. Hence my collection of 1920's bathrooms I mentioned on a previous blog.

I also love home decor type magazines, like Domino and Real Simple to get ideas. Last months Domino was great and featured all these penny round tile, which look very 1920's. I like the penny round tiles which incidentally you can but at Home Depot. However I like the honeycomb design much better like in the picture below.
I don't know penny rounds vs. honeycomb? You be the judge!
