FrankenStuff Hot Dogs

Does any remember FrankenStuff Hot Dogs or at least ther commercials from the 1980's? I have found only a few mentions of it on the internet and no pictures. I was hoping to come across a commercial on youtube. No luck at all.

Iceland and such...

It has been a while since I have written anything. I guess it doesn't matter because no one reads this.

I was cruising youtube today and came across a video for a band in Iceland names Seabear. They are pretty great, very easy to listen to. Another band I discovered which is on the same lable is Benni Hemm Hemm, he does not sing in english but his music is just as sweet.
Maybe my next trip will be to Iceland.................

NO words just images

Post Apocalyse unedited and alcohol driven

Ok, I am in love with science fiction films,

Where do I begin Ok I think forever I have had a love but it wasn't until 28 Days Later did I realize how strong my love for the end was true.

Needless to say lets move on to present day films...namely I am legend which is an film adaptation of the novel by !!! I am Legend it has been made into 2 film before the first starring Vincent Price Last Man on Earth and The Second a horrible rendition starring Charlton Heston called The Omega Man.. Recently I watched the Omega man and upon watching it saw many similarities to 28 Days or I guess any city at civilization end empty streets damaged buildings bodies and commodities strewn about. Aerial shots staring from the quote unquote last man on a city street than panning out like an echo of a scream in the barren or shall I say man less forest.

So after watching numerous trailers for I am Legend during the Worlds Series and coincidentally viewing The Omega Man I had a discussion with a co-worker who loves horror films. I really do not like horror films and although post apocalyptic films can be categorized as an horror film I feel they are not on the plain pf your generic freaky mad man...and for the most part all PA have some PA big brotheresque warning on what could possible come if we keep on trucking like we are trucking.

I would like to state the fact that IO do not like the ones that are so in your fact prefer the subtly of metaphor. Not a blatant greenhouse takeover via Quaid/Gylenhall.

Ok so a few similarities between Omega Man and 28 later. Similar shot vacant city 1 man left next similarity. Last man /black woman.......my feminist film theory for some reason is not totally down with this.....call me jaded. Second a world ravaged by a man made disease and or virus that takes everyday Jack and Jill's and turns them into raging crazies either blood thirsty hippies and or rage driven infected. Either way mans DNA is altered by something that takes away rational thought and reason and turns them into something different...animistic, or to generalize the others...like lost not us.....the good guy

Two dudes (cheffing) it up!

Really, everyone needs to check these guys out. Finally room for long-haired, hipster, Floridians who can really cook.

Hang em' High

Yet again I will profess my love for Real Simple magazine. My latest affair is with the Drinn cell phone holder featured in this months issue. Real Simple directs you to a certain website to purchase this golden idea, however I found a small business in Newport Beach, CA that not only sells it for less, but also offers free shipping. Go small business!
This sweet organizational friend can be found at http://www.charmingcards.com/ for mere $6.95.

Things I would like to own

For some reason I have been having a hankering for Holiday shopping.
Perhaps it is the vast amount emails and catalogues I receive boasting sales and fabulous new items. Perhaps it is the the evil siren of hip wares, really who can tell. One thing I do know is I am in love with these ribbed porcelain containers from the Moma store. Cute, understated, it screams buy me.
Museum stores are what the American mall should be 90% culture 10% retail.

I freaking love museum stores, chalked full of adorable, modest, useful gadgets and bric a brac. Now I know useful bric a brac is somewhat of an oxymoron, but it all is in the name of non profit Anyway this and many more hip, ultra modern non necessities can me found at www.momastore.org.

Hola Beautiful....

I love anything and everything from Mexico down onto Tierra del Fuego. Since I can not visit these amazing countries everyday I am forced to glean the Internet for links to these fascinating countries.

Most recently a friend introduced me to http://www.boliviamall.com/ . This came up after the current President of Bolivia Juan Evo Morales Ayma or Evo Morales as they call him appeared on the Daily Show. Coincidentally my friend had purchased an alpaca "Evo" sweater which Morales wore during his campaign.

Anyway http://www.boliviamall.com/ is amazing. My friends striped "Evo" sweater was very inexpensive and the lightweight alpaca will keep any New Englander cozy during the winter. They also have jewelry, handicrafts, art, books, everything. In fact I think I may order this incredible Bolivian Duck rug for myself and it is only $29.80. My friend who purchased the sweater said that shipping costs aren't too bad, but it may take a month for delivery.

If only I could save the environment

Lately I am totally obsessed with finding out about new ways to both save the environment and money. I have dabbled with the thought of buying a prius, and installing solar panels on the roof of my house. I also recently came across an amazing product that does the 2 things I like most. Yes Save $$$ and help the environment. It is called the AQUS System and can be installed underneath your bathroom sink where it collects water then channels it to your toilet. It is both ingenious and easy and can be found here http://www.watersavertech.com/.

I would totally buy one, but I have pedestal sinks. Curse my 1920's home!

I am not funny

I am not funny....but yet.....I hope to become comedy writer.....

Livin' in 1920's Home

I am a proud homeowner of a home built in 1920. Due to my home ownership I have become obsessed with homes of that era. My house is a very basic New England Colonial. There have been some minor changes, like, the porch has been closed in and turned into a bathroom and a small office sort of room. The kitchen and both bathrooms have not been updated since the 1970's, therefore I am constantly gleaning the Internet, books, magazines etc. for ideas on how to update/restore the bathroom so it will look some what authentic. Hence my collection of 1920's bathrooms I mentioned on a previous blog.

I also love home decor type magazines, like Domino and Real Simple to get ideas. Last months Domino was great and featured all these penny round tile, which look very 1920's. I like the penny round tiles which incidentally you can but at Home Depot. However I like the honeycomb design much better like in the picture below.

I don't know penny rounds vs. honeycomb? You be the judge!

I luv New England

Today was another lovely day in New England. The leaves are slowly starting to change and USA is running an all-day Monk marathon.

Many, many, thanks to the USA network for airing Monk and the 20 billion episodes of Law and Order.

Perez I'm lookin' out 4 U

Hello fans of Fitzlingon Tooley. I have sent numerous emails 2 Perez Hilton. I love him, but he never returns my emails.
For instance, I sent him a "separated at birth" ideas. Like Lauren Conrad and Christine Taylor (Ben Stillers wife) or Heidi Montag and the actress who was in Crocodile Dundee 1&2. But I have yet 2 reap the rewards of my hard work. Does he not care? Is he 2 busy "celebrity rapping" to hear my call?
IDK friends, but please, please help me out!

Music & More

So it is yet another lovely Autumn Sunday on coast of New England. One of my favorite Sunday songs Sunday Morning Comin Down by Johnny Cash

Well I woke up Sunday morning
With no way to hold my head, that didn't hurt
And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad,So I had one more for dessert.
Then I fumbled in my closet through my clothes
And found my cleanest dirty shirt.
Then I washed my face and combed my hair
And stumbled down the stairs to meet the day.
I'd smoked my mind the night before
With cigarettes and the songs I'd been pickin'
But I lit my first and watched a small kid
Playin' with a can that he was kicking
Then I walked across the street
And caught the Sunday smell of someone's fryin' chicken
And it took me back to somethin'
That I'd lost somewhere, somehow along the way.
Chorus:
On a Sunday morning sidewalk
I'm wishing Lord that I was stoned'
Cause there's something in a Sunday
That makes a body feel alone.
And there's nothin' short of dyin'
That's half as lonesome as the sound
Of a sleepin' city sidewalk
And Sunday mornin' comin' down.
In the park I saw a daddy
With a laughin' little girl who he was swingin'
And I stopped beside a Sunday school
And listened to the songs they were singin'
Then I headed down the street
And somewhere far away a lonely bell was ringin'
And it echoed thru the canyon Like the disappearing dreams of yesterday.

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Y'All

Quick and short entry...TMZ on tv is ok. Good, but not up to par with my TMZ reader experience. A bit on the cheesy side (and I hate the word cheesy, but no other adjective defines it).
Anyway the Hills are on tonight, my favorite guilty pleasure. However, WTF, Heidi does not deserve the job. Elodie, if you went to college with a MTV reality star and were a Coloradan parasite like Heidi...you would of totally got the job

Indian Summer

This is the first post of me newly renamed blog. I am going to dedicate this blog to all things Fitzlingon Tooley loves. I will start with my love of outdoor living.

A few months ago I ordered custom made cushions made for my vintage wrought iron outdoor furniture. I purchased the furniture at local junk store, it was a great find, however the cushions were old and basically trashed.

Anyway after about 2 years of looking for fabric and finally deciding to take the expensive plunge of having cushions custom made, I decided on Waverly Sun N Shade fabric appropriately titled Monkeyin' Around.

The fabric is very cute. At first I was a bit apprehensive about the color pallet but those damn monkeys are so freakin cute.

Ok the next purchase I made was a total nightmare to order. It all started with Real Simple Magazine and these bamboo stools from a Canadian company named Envi. The stools are pretty inexpensive $35 a shot. I ordered 3 stools, pink, orange and green. And yes they do go with my cushions.

Ok, so this blog is really boring. Next time I will try to bring it up a notch.
